got a question you may be able to throw some light on ,iv recently done a DB2 conversion on my 98 6.5
Massive hassles with the tranny until I got a quick 1 TCM
Any way iv noticed the od power spike when driving in town ( iv only done a couple hundred Klms since the conversion)
The engine will hit about 3500Rpm with no no load and then it starts to miss iv changed the fuel filter ,I'm not running the factory GMC filter as they are hard to get and expensive over hear.i thought this would fix the problem but it didn't so i moved back to the electric lift pump . I found this to be very hot to the touch ,iv used these tic tic pumps on many machines before and have never experienced heat before, cavitation came to mind so I put air back down the line and cleared any blockages that might have caused any problems, still the same result ,missing at high rpm,I'm thinking my lift pump may be rooted
Are there screens in the lift pump?? That may need flushing
I've noticed a small amount of air in the filter head when the vent screw is released ,just after the engine has been stopped ,this is what has led me to think my lift pump is the culprit
Please tell me your thoughts
Regards chris
