Hi guys.
For long a Tech2 has been on top of my wishlist. Huge price variations. Are there "fake" ones out there? Made in China or another low cost country?
Will the Vetronix "3000091" Tech 1 OBD2 Interface Module upgrade my Tech 1 to what I need it to do on 1996 and newer? If not, what else do I need? Mostly I need it for TDCO readings/relearns. Thanks.
 
Yes there are Chinese knock off Tech 2's out there, and they are GARBAGE! They are well known to fail at 6 months old, and they cannot be repaired to my knowledge. You are money ahead to spend the extra money on a used ACTUAL TECH 2, than to cheap out and buy one of the knock offs. And for a 6.5, i think the OBD2 upgrade module for the TECH 1 will work(but I have also heard you really need the TECH 1A for it to fully work properly).
