Proper HID Retrofit "on the cheap"

Its a pretty easy mod. The adapters make plug and play. You can use a wire tap (the instructions I just sent you uses a wire tap) but I have/can get a neat pigtail that will plug into the 315x so you don't need a wire tap.

You would not be disappointed with the results of the mod. I love mine.

PM me a price on the pigtails and bulb adapters...

PM sent.

Heres a pic of the pigtail. It just plugs into the bulb socket inplace of the bulb. You only need one to trigger the HID relay for both sides.

I wasn't going to use a switch or relays...I was just going to have them turn on when the truck is put in reverse...much like how the hid's just plug inline into the harness for the Headlights...so I guess I would need two to do it the way I am planning if you think that will work...

I would not feel comfortible because the wires on the pigtail are small, like 18 or 20 ga wire. Plenty to trigger a relay though. You can tap in the power at the trailer harness and run that to the load side of the relay. It will work much better with a relay. And relay harness is cheap.

BJ, you want us to take this PM?

Ballast mounted behind the tail light on my GMT400. Some kits now have smaller ballasts that will work in more confined spaces.
