Okay, there's an issue...

Go to http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/ and click on the big green button to download and install Firefox 3 for Windows. Get it installed and then see how your chat works.

We'll work on upgrading your Internet Explorer after that... by the way, my Internet Explorer is version 6.0.2800.1106 ... yours is REALLY out of date.
 
After I downloaded it, nothing happened.. It went beep beep and nothing else came up...

When you clicked ont he green button, it showed you that you needed to complete 4 steps:

1 - Save the file
2 - click on continue to run the file
3 - follow the steps in the setup wizard
4 - use firefox

Did you do the first 3 steps?
 
I got threw one and two. How do I get to the 3rd step? nothing ever came up..
 
Where did you save the file (firefox setup 3.0.1.exe) to? Double-clicking on it should start the download process.
 
Well if I got to my documents its there, I click and it is ectracting. is that right??
 
Yep. That should start the setup process. You should get the opportunity to put an icon on the desktop, etc. When it's done, you should have a new program group in your Start menu called 'Mozilla Firefox'
 
yep...Internet explorer sucks...I wouldn't even bother to upgrade it...but thats just me...I haven't found a website other than windows update that firefox can't open...Firefox is your friend... ;)

I'd still let Jifaire help you update Internet explorer though...

Glad you've got chat working...now you can go in there to find out that nobody's there... :D
 
I agree with Pep.. I use Firefox almost exclusively. There are a few things that i need Internet explorer for, though, so I keep mine updated.

If you don't feel a need to upgrade yours, then you're done ... move on, 'cause your chat now works.

If you DO want to upgrade, then continue below..

Avoid version 7... there are still some issues with it. Apparently it works fine with Vista.

To upgrade to version 6 (like mine) go to

1 - click on the download button
2 - click on Open or Run from current location
let it do its thing and restart the computer when it's done installing.

3 - never use it again. :)

I don't know maybe start a thread on what night everyone would like to be there...if the thread takes off...I'll add a poll...most places do it on Wed. nights...

Personally, I don't think you'll need it, Justin, so I wouldn't bother upgrading. I just wanted to give you the option, and I also wanted to post it in case anybody else needed to know how.

OK guys my chat dosnt load... just says loading but never dose... what did I brake now? ):h:eek:
