I recently had an issue with my ps mirror.

truck scratch 5.jpg

I ordered Chris Cam TTMs from Leroy. We are having problems trying to figure out the wiring. I ordered the heated/marker light model. My truck doesn't have a heated mirror switch, but I figured once mounted, I could fabricated something for that.

Anyhow, in trying to figure out which wire goes where in conjunction with the oem plug, we discovered that there isn't any power to the switch on the door. Is it possible that when the original mirror was damaged, it blew a fuse? If so, where do I find it?

OK, I figured out the sequence of power to the new mirror plug to get it to move properly and the lights work too. I can only assume the 2 black wires are the heater circuit.

Now I have to figure out why there isn't any power going to the mirror control switch on the door.

I'd suspect a broken wire where it moves with the door hinges.
That may be and I'll check it out, but it worked before the ps mirror got broke and actually it worked a little afterward too. Now that I'm ready to install the new mirrors, there's no power.
:banghead:

Do you know what fuse handles it?

If you can't read these pm me your email

Update:

I mounted the new mirrors and figured out that the mirror switch was broken. I took the one off my doner truck and it worked except for the up function. I ordered a new one from the stealer $$. It'll be be here tomorrow.

For those interested, here's the wiring sequence.

Left side mirror

Truck---------------------New mirror

Green---------------------Green/White stripe

Yellow---------------------Yellow/White stripe

Blue-----------------------Blue/White stripe

White----------------------White

Right side mirror

Red/White stripe----------Blue

Yellow----------------------Green

Purple/White stripe--------Yellow

Blue-------------------------White

On the mirrors whit lights and heat. The red and black wires together are the lights and the 2 black wires are for the heater.

Those are the exact mirrors that I put on my 94 pickup. I love the view out the back. Also, real good for towing.

The wiring you list for the left/drivers side vehicle and mirror is an almost exact match to what I have in my notes. Your right/passenger side doesn't come even close to mine.

For those that need to deal with this in the future here's some info that may be helpful. This is for the drivers side.

The GM loom is: Green wire is Vertical Down
Blue wire is Horizontal Left
Yellow wire is Horizontal Right
White wire is Vertical Up

What I found is that no specific wire has a direction to it, rather than the polarity of the current going through them.

Like: if green was + and yellow was - and it moves up, then reverse polarity and it goes down. That's what the switch does.

passenger side was wayyyy different. 2 reds/purple/gray. still haven't got it figured out I blew the switch trying different combos. Anyone got any input?

Send a pm to greenmeanh1 so it sends him an email? That guy lives electronics, maybe he can tell you how to do a test and determine which is which?

Electrical is ok. Electronics I have to have schematics to get me there, and even then I'm slow.

So final on the mirror wiring passenger side. The truck side plug is rectangular so with it sitting vertical there's 2 red wires on the right on the left top is grey on the left bottom is purple/white. So the mirror side wiring is top right red would be white, the bottom right red would be yellow, top left grey would be blue, bottom left purple would be green.
Hope this helps someone else down the road.
