Did your Bison tear that poor old trailer apart?:D

Nah,i got that trailer given to me 15 yrs agoit needed fixing then already but i never got around to it..(should've gone to the scrap yard straight away)
Time took its toll and now the frame members are rotted out,the floor is gone, the brakes and drums where shot and the ball hitch is wore out.
I still got $150 for it for scrap.

Son is gonna haul it,( he has a 1 ton 6ltr FERD :rolleyes5:)he says my truck is to dinky to pull that russian iron and won't be able to hold it back on these long grade 6-7 down slopes north of whitecourt:skep:
He could be right though.I have no TC lock in the lower gears.:nonod:

But i'll post a pic anyway, just gonna be a ferd pulling it.;)

Personally I would rather have someone pull it through there myself. My brother and I went to Hines Creek in 1990, There are some good hills through there.

Yeah,it's not the uphill part that bothers me,but i can't say i like that mexican overdrive situation with 16000 lbs pushing me down hill.
I had that once with 15 beef in a trailer,i hit 130 km/hr by the time i hit the bottom of the hill(same hill Les broke down last month).

Tractor is home.
The ford did well,no pain no strain climbing and descending the big hills with 24690 lbs total weight over the scale.
It would've been a bear with my 98 no doubt.:agreed:

That's my son in the pic

Brothers friend just bought an 89 Camaro about 60 miles south of us. I lent him a hand in retrieving it. Tranny was toast. Car cost 650 bucks, very solid for a NY vehicle. Was originally a v-6 swapped to a carbed 305 or 350, not sure yet..

I am sure I could find more if I kept digging...

Other loads I can think of (with no pics)

-Towed the 95 Burb home with the 99
-Military M37 and Fisher Minute Mount plow - from Maryland (thanks again for the plow Pillow!!)
-'Junker' Cab/Chassis 95 6.5 home from NJ for an engine (that was 'junk' anyway - good thing it was CHEAP)
-93 1/2 Ton 6.2 for the donor engine in the 95
-Late 40's TD6 Dozer
-2 different 'Cub Loboys' (one with each Burb if I recall right...)

And much much more...

had my gmas camper in our shop and was in our way but dont have any 5th wheel style hitches on the farm for pickups just gooseneck balls. So after realizing the kingpin was the same we hooked it up to the semi.

Here is my truck hooked up to my 5er:

Combined weight is almost 10,000 lbs. My truck pulls it down the road nicely.

Small load on the 93... Only 27K behind the Ol' Girl....

8920 Loaded up, Tractor weighs ~22-23K, trailer 5K, truck 8K

I didn't go far chained like this but had to drive a few miles to find longer chains.

Pulled great! Got up to 60MPH on some good flat ground and could have gone faster powerwise but stopping it worried me. Pulled good sized hills at 50mph passing a ford late 90's power choke pulling a small cab less tractor ~50hp looking toy.

Took some winding up to get power out of it, only built 11# of boost when hammered which isn't bad but it would only hold 7# (i have wg baling wired shut too, i need to get the holset on).
Coolant Temps hit 200 going up some hills trying to hold 55 but i backed out (AC was on high in 100+ ambient temps). I didn't ever shift into OD just kept 4th.
Only problem I hit after pulling a couple hundred miles was the steering gear box went out and gave me over 1/4 turn of play each direction  ... That made me slow down!

All in all I am very pleased with the truck, steering parts are just normal maintenance. I got 13.5mpg on a 300 mile haul  and burned/leaked less than 1/4qt. I love my truck, but with the dumped exhaust I couldnt hear the music very well :rof: .... The towing mirrors were a big help too.

The last photo in the series looks like the rigs should have been reversed. Looks like the tractor should have been towing the truck on the trailer due to the size differences. :rof:

I wanna get a trailer capable of hauling our 1486 for behind our truck. However, with us getting a semi we'll probably just get a low-boy for that kind of stuff and keep the little trailer we have now for small stuff like cars.
