Post up your hitches...

stock....

You ought to be careful towing anything with that...it is not a Class 5 hitch. There was a looooong thread at our old home with many pictures of hitch failures, and they werew not pretty. That is why I went with the Putnam XD. Takes about 20 minutes to rip out thew old one and put in the new one. I got mine for less the $150 shipped off ebay last year.

saw that thread. had a few loads sittin on that hitch that had no right to be there.... it's showing. hitch snout is sagging (read: bent down), and the bolt holes where it attaches to the frame are ovaling out. i may have to look into a new one soon....

Not to bump an old thread but...

I've towed with the ball/pintle combos and I've towed with dedicated pintle hooks. It's such a night and day difference. The real thing seemed so much smoother to me. The combo's bang around way too much IMHO. That B&W is a work of freakin art though, wow!

Um, Torklift SuperHitch Reciever, Google it, I'm too lazy to post a link. And a Tractor Supply IDK what brand Three-Ball combo, 1 7/8", 2", 2 5/16". Works slick, and is rated for the loads we haul. Water trailer uses a Ginormous pin, FYI.

I usually remove the can from the ball in my bed before I hook up.
Home made design with 30,000 lb. forged 2" rise ball. (the can keeps the grease off my German Shephard)

Bumper hitch is a Schuck shock hitch on stainless steel 10,000/1000 lb. bumper.

That Schuck setup is only CL4 though isn't it?
X2 on the Putnam XDR. I wouldn't want to go back to the stock crap...

Heck, I have no idea what a CL4 is. I bought that about 11 or 12 years ago. I looked on their website and it looks like the $200+ one they show that I saw earlier today.

Here is the one I have it is a 10" drop Rapid Hitch
