That should tell ya right there Jeff that you went to the wrong 6.5 forum the first time... Welcome to the RIGHT forum!Just wondering because I'm doing a build with a Clearwater (china) block and heads. I mentioned this on another forum and got blasted!
yeah ... Clearwater says they will stand behind that block ........ but ....... given the fact that every mother f*****g thing is made in China ..... I would pop the extra hundred bones for the canadian block....... the chinese get enough of my money when I have to shop for my kids ........
for those of you that are going to say I should be buying American ....... when we were birthday shopping last week ...... the only american made toys we found was a lame ass organic hemp monkey doll that cost 100 bucks ....... and I looked for American made toys .... or atleast Canadian......
Those canadian ones are cast in china machined in canada
This is what they say in their description. Quote: These blocks are cast and machined in Canada
Could be a play on words, the fact that they are cast, but machined in Canada
And $300 for two engines and heads. Thats insane, even though one of them is cracked, a good single long block should be more than that. For that you should have him clean and magnaflux the good one.
If it was me, I'd feel alot better if I took it apart so I knew what cyl everything came from instead of a pile of internals in a box.
Good move Josh.:thumbsup:thats what i decided today and im going up on friday with about $450 going to try and get the 2 long blocks and the ip and any other parts he may have that i want
Good move Josh.
