porting precups

Yes, they look very good to me, I didn't say who did them, I didn't know if anyone would object or not..... I didn't know how they were going to look or be done before I sent them to his and thanks to "Mike" for giving me the contact info.. I am pleased with how they turned out and the price was good also !! After I got them back, and seeing them, I think they will work great, I will be ceramic coating them along with the rest of the head to help move the flame faster, and I am using a set of Kennedy 18:1 pistons, I think that with the cups and pistons being machined like they are, the flame will move very well into the cly.. time will tell.

I didn't know you were part of this Dennis, my thanks to you and Mike for the help, maybe one day this fall I will get this motor ready and we will see how things come together.

Thanks again and if anyone else needs a set machined out, you now know who you can contact to get them done ...

Dennis, I have a set I can donate if you need them, they aren't a matching set but they might help you, let me know if you need them..

My apologies to both you guys.. maybe I shouldn't have said anything or cast any names out there. Also, thanks Dennis for the in depth info about the cups.
I hope to have my truck fired up soon.. I'm very close now, but have been super busy at work and I work 6 days a week.

I have an extra set of " T " cups I would throw in the mail for ya Dennis, but I'm quite certain that they are cracked too far and are beyond use..

I will take all precups I can get my hands on. I don't care if they are NA sets I need test subjects and they all work. PM me and I will give you the shipping details. Thanks.

I really don't want this precup thing to get tainted that is why I just stay out of it and give everyone Hanks contact info AFTER I make sure he is ok with it.

PM sent.......

And that is why I didn't give out any names or other info...........

I think they're wanting to know if those running the modified precups have noticed power/mpg changes now over the long term, and if so, what they are. That would be my guess, without crawling into their skulls to see what's going on in there.

I'm running the diamond cups, not ported. Compared to na cups , power and torque is reduced while under the turbo. I tried some huge homemade cups that made no power at all, just black smoke, even at idle.

I am finding the opposite true with 6.2 NA precups on my 1995. I can black out an intersection and hardly get the large turbo's to light with 6.2 NA precups. Varied timing and fuel and the precups are simply the issue even with an HX40II. The larger 6.5 NA precups run clean and quick on my 1993 with the ATT. However I found timing with too much advance will bring on the black smoke with the 1993.

I know it is old but it would be nice to hear from the guys running the machined cups. My problem is I cannot find any diamond or T cup chambers at any price much less a decent price.
