Howdy neighbor, my wife is in Gold Beach this weekend at a womens retreat.Skylark, WELCOME to the site neighbor.
IMO, water - air is the best & easiest way to go, look through this site, they have all kinds of stuff and in a kit form this is a link to a full kit and you can change the kit around to get what ever in & out air angle you need. This is the way I will be going, you can mount the kit parts anywhere and they do have a guarantee on there stuff. This along with a WMI kit and a tune would do all or more than you need.

Hey skylark! Glad to see ya over here as well. Im on gmt400 under the same sn as I am here. Now that I seen that you mentioned that your pmd has been mounted on the intake I suggest that you move it to the front bumper, that may help you make space near the valve cover for your intercooler as well as moving the pmd from the hot engine bay.

Thanks! I have seen you over there as well. On my last 6.5 I relocated it IN the air box with a fan for a computer, it never even felt warm. I will probably do the same with this one.
I have to admit that he has a VERY clean set up but honestly it won't work for me. The cooler being in a place that I can hurt it won't work. I have been know to "boldly go where no one in their right mind has gone before".
Have you broken the cheap plastic skid plate that is there? If not, you will be fine. It is higher than the frame and a lot stronger than the plastic skid plate. When I did it, I figured if I haven't damaged the skid plate yet, the intercooler should be fine. It has been there for almost 6 years now with no problems. It's only about 6-8 inches from the harmonic balancer, so if you go through the intercooler you are probably going into the oil pan or timing cover, so the intercooler is the least of your worries. Worked great to cool down the GM8 and towing with the ATT it was about 50 degrees outside and the highest IAT's I saw was 125ish.
Børge , thats very clean. I think I may have seen your set up somewhere else?
BTW I just sent a PMD cable to Norway today was that you?

Hi
I just want to share my ATA setup, i had access to a dented hood to work with, and a damaged hood from a Subaru Forester diesel. I cut out the piece i needed for the scoop, straighten out the test hood, and started fitting the thingies
I used a ATA cooler from a voyager diesel, i know it could have been a better one, but it was a perfect for for a top mount.
I made brackets for the cooler, installed a pull fan under it. the fan is temp controlled. It adjust the temp it starts on. I have set it for 30 degrees celcius on the output of the cooler.
I pull a caravan of 2200 kg, and last summer i was logging the temp with GMTD scantech.
On a sunny day wit about 25 degrees, driving in 90km\h in OD, i got the lowest reading of intake temp of 24 degrees. in WOT on flat road i could get about50-65 degrees IAT.

Hi Leroy. Thanks
Yes you have probably seen it at TDP.
Do you have any experience to share about the KOJO tune ?
