The CDR function probably not going to help MPG.

the 4" exhaust is a huge benefit, although removing the Cat and using 3" exhaust with new mandrel bent crossover and downpipe would also be a huge benefit in and of itself.

A 195 T-stat may help MPG as well. If you have not updated your DRAC/VSSB for those tall tires your speedo and odometer are both reading low and your MPG calculations off

A custom EPROM may also help your MPG, especially if using the vacuum turbo control, can get more boost when needed to help burn your fuel, and little boost when its not needed so its not robbing engine power.
 
^ The 195 t stat worries me. It ran right at the 200 mark with the 195 that was in it. Of course the one I took out was not an AC Delco and neither was the one I put in it. So the AC Delco may be more accurate and I may have to give it a try. Had the grill off today and the condenser and radiator look really clean. With the taller tires (stock is 265/75/16) my GPS shows my speed right at 70 when my speedometer says 70. I thought about the chip but will wait and see. I like the Yukon, but my wife prefers to have a 2004 or newer Yukon/Tahoe. So its hard to dump money into it with that in mind. I really hate to trade this in. Sell, maybe.
 
I see from your pictures...

Another problem; your air filter looks like it was designed for gasser rice cars. Our Diesels thrive on air, and lots of it. The tiny filter area you have now is less than stock. I switched to a S&B 9" long dual cone filter, and have more power, less smoke, and better mileage. (20+, unless the wife is in a rush.)

I have tried 3 different filter setups, and this one works for me. I had put the S&B one on for a while, then went back to the stock box, with improved flow and clearance work around the parking light for more of a cool air ram effect. I see a lot of dry dusty roads and got tired of replacing the stock filter every month and a half or two. I track mileage religously, and notice when the filter is dirty.

I'm back to the S&B because it has better capacity and performance.
Cleaning and oiling seems a pain but it just takes practice.
I don't like it to be down waiting for the filter to dry after cleaning, so I'll buy a spare next time I have to clean it.

I made a support to attach the small end of the cone to the turbo, to minimize flex. I am thinking of making a "cool box" to take the outside air in and isolate it from the under hood heat. In spring, maybe.):h
 
^I usually switch these type of filters out with a Amsoil filter. Since I got an Amsoil dealers license, I just need to go pick one up. We have a warehouse in Wichita but being unemployed, funds are low at the meantime. Once I get back to work starting March 1st, I will be putting on one larger than what I got now. I also am thinking of making a box to isolate the filter from the heat inside the engine bay.

His filter aint that small, especially if it has an inverted cone tip. Its still better than than stock rectangle box. My filter is barely bigger, although will soon we getting a 9" height cone.
