The injector bowl is totally different and it will smoke like mad and have no power.

What he said, and you also take a chance on blowing a hole through it. The 12 valve engines used an offset piston bowl as the injectors in a 12 valve head are offset to the side. The bowls in a 24 valve piston are cenetered as the 24 valve engines have the injectors in the center of the head.
 
That's up to you. I don't like the burn of the marine bowls and injectors for the street. I would go back stock and raise compression slightly for more response on the street and less smoke.
