Yep, 9.5 psi which is perfect for HVLP guns.

Bottom line, I punted on painting the 4Runner because of the apparent bend in the fender framing that will need a puller to straighten and the further complication of color matching two separately mixed paints.
I can still paint the Suburbans as they will complete body paint jobs.

I've not heard of using water base automotive grade paint on vehicles. I would think water base would fade and dull faster and easier. also adhesion problems too!

Maybe it's a new technology, water base sounds like it would be much easier to work with and cleaning would be a breeze too

The first one of those I had seen was about 30 or more years ago.
The air supply hose was much larger and it seemed that there was an actual shop vac supplying the volume and pressure.
They did the paint on a farm tractor. It looked as nice as any professional paint job. It was at an earth movers shop.
The people that put together the very first laser plane road grader that they used to build and level irrigated farm fields.
Two old WW2 seabees that worked the construction side of the islands.

Can someone help with deciphering the paint code on my '99. The sticker is pretty faded. The color is a dark metallic blue. The color locator provided here has two options: 1) Opal Blue Metallic, 2) Dark Blue.

I had my son take the pictures last night as I am in Montana and the trucks are in California. The rest of the pics are very blurry and unreadable. I will have to redo them. The RPO labels are pretty worn. Is there another label like on the door pillar that has the paint code?
Does the VIN# help to ID the paint color (this is on the driver's door)?
Can you confirm the '94 paint color is WA 228A - Light Autumn Wood Metallic?

For the ‘99 it appears to be Indigo Blue Metallic: WA9792.
Since I’m painting the full truck, that should be good enough.

Well I got my answer on water vs solvent based paint. There is minimal shelf life for water based paint once it is color mixed, so they don’t carry it.
So I put in my paint order for the two Suburbans: primers, base, and clear, plus plastic sheeting and dust wipe down towels. They will call me to completed the order and my wife will pick it up in 2+ weeks.
The 4Runner will get painted by a shop. My separately painting hood and bumper, with shop doing the fender, created matching/blending issues. Plus my time is really stretched. While up there a rear brake pad wore through to metal. I disassembled and ordered parts, but will have to go back to do the job. I left it up on stands. Rotors were going to be replaced due to wear anyway. I’m also replacing calipers due to uneven wear.
