Good day,

I recently installed a P400 into my 1999 Hummer H1. I used the original p400 oil pan since it clears in the hummer.

The dipstick is located in the side of the girdle on the p400 instead of in the pan on 6.5. My engine was used on a testing stand for military testing - came with no dipstick. Is there a specific dipstick for the p400? If not, how do I determine if the indicator position is accurate for level on the p400?

Second challenge was a difficult to install inspection panel below the torque converter. Upon first run time we noticed that the panel was interfering with the flywheel. Does anyone have photos or a strategy to trimming the inspection panel?

Let me know and TIA!56398

On the flywheel gaurd:
His trans is 4l80e, so same mod as what is used for pickups to clear with the change to the girdle where it gets trimmed to larger crescent cut. I tried to find the pics for him that were on here about a year or two ago but am horrible at searching.

I have been told the dipstick is at the same depth vs a truck pan and the oil level would be correct on the stick. They use the same dipstick.

Thank you very much. P400 with dual filters and normal oil pan took 9L of oil to full.

The inspection panel needs a trim. Ran out of time today, but as you can see in the photos it has been rubbing. Does anyone have experience/photos of this completed?
