P0251, P0370 and now P0606, all from WIF????

I would never throw out a bunch of fuel "just in case". I would have made the same move. That funnel has me thinking I need one though, "just in case". I don't get how it works, but if you are saying you see it working- then I guess so.

How hard is it to use at a normal gas station?

It works. It works better than I would have imagined. I've got the 3.5 gpm Mr. funnel for my lawn mowers, tractor and four wheelers. I use it on my truck if I'm putting diesel from a 5 gallon jug in it. At the pump you would want the 15 gpm funnel I would think. I'm getting one soon as I can. You would be surprised how well these things work. I didn't understand it or believe it until I bought one myself.

Will, I had posted this link on his other thread, about 1/2 way down page it shows how the filter funnel was mounted for remote African fuel stops...

The water settles at the bottom of the funnel. If the water layer gets deep enough, the rate of flow really slows down. Filter looks like it's a very fine plastic mesh. I am comfortable that it works as you can see the trapped water on a first run, then nothing when you run that filtered batch back through it. I have not used it at a filling station. Biggest issue would be getting the funnel vertical and having the necessary hands to both pump and hold it that way. That's why FellowTraveler was showing a post with it mounted.

I got the 8 GPM model. More than adequate for transferring fuel. Amazon had the best prices and free shipping. I still have 150 gallons to go in the boat, but plenty of time.

You can pour water into it and it will not pass the filter........

That's right. I pulled mine out of the box when I got home with it to do the water test because I didn't believe that it would catch all the water coming from my hose pipe like people said it would. It really does work like it says on the box. No water gets through it.

I did read somewhere it said you are supposed to let the fuel settle before pouring, because it can carry some water through if mixed up good. I wonder at what level of saturation it can get it all out.

Seems like a great idea to me. I'm going to time the fuel pump next fill up.
