Optimizer/P400 Engine Parts

Ah, I missed the part about a frame off resto. Then yea, put those fab skills to work and get some pics :)

I like the dynamic timing advance of the VE as well...why not build a 24V-VE and have the best of both worlds with the best flowing head too. I believe Scheid makes the conversion lines for this swap. I know they do for the 24V-P7100 swap.

getting the 6bt to fit in the old box bodies is easy, best advice I can give (from experience, learned the hard way) is go a 98+ chevy nv4500 and either use the dodge bellhousing/input shaft, or get the chevy trans adapter for the cummins. That will save you a hell of a lot of headaches and let you bypass the people wanting gold for parts that dodge discontinued.

I've got a build thread from when I was going through this process on my 87 chevy http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/c...38841-12-valve-going-into-87-chevy-1-ton.html

finally had enough of the price gouging and wanted to drive my truck again so I went back to a big block. The fabrication is minimal. If I were to try it again (maybe way down the road but I'm goin 6.5 for a long time) I would have put the motor lower and another inch further back to give the downpipe more room.

On the cummins swap I was doing? if you read through the link I show how to get around that issue. Using an aftermarket exhaust manifold upside down, plenty of clearance.

I have an offroad design high clearance engine crossmember along with their motor mounts so my engine sits 2" higher and 3" further forward. that might take care of the problem. Wont know until I get the motor in sometime in early July (hopefully).
