Optic Sensor Fooler?

That's good info - a source for good CHEAP used PMDs is always a good thing to have. Unfortunately it doesn't solve our problem. I don't need just a PMD. I need a working optical sensor - preferably attached to a pump (working or not). That way I can sit on my electronics bench to do some signal analysis on the input and output of the optical sensor with my o-scope to see if I can design a simple circuit to modify the optical sensor output and get the same signal with dark fuel that it woud normally put out with clear fuel. The object of the game being to be able to fool the ECM into running normally with darker fuels...

He sells Used Optical Sensors as well...you just have to contact him. I got a couple being shipped to me for 26$

Les, I haven't forgot but calving has kept me busy.

All I have to weigh it is a bathroom scale so if he has one it would be as accurate as mine.

I dug out an old balance scale and came up with 16 lbs 5 oz W/O PMD. It may not be exact as I had to make up some extra weights.

so my brother has it. all we need is a weight now

COOL! Please PM me his address. I will print the label for an 18 lb package (to cover the weight of the packing material) and that should cover it. Let him know he'll receive an empty box and packing material with a pre-printed, pre-paid label inside. All he needs to do is put the pump in the box with the packing material, take the old label off and put the new label on, then drop it off at any UPS shipping location...

ak diesel driver: I got your PM and am ready to send the box out to your brother. Just one question - is the address you gave me his home adress or is it his business address? I'll need to know when I print the label to ship it to him.

On the UPS web site where you create the shipping label there is a check box for delivery to a residence and I need to know whether or not to mark it as a residential delivery.

when you say "WVO" are you saying straight veggie fry oil? I'm using WVO to make BioD and running that straight and I haven't had a single problem.
yes, straight. i have moved on with this though. was running an oil mix and ran into a lot of problems. my source for oil never materialized so i bought a TDI and been getting 50+ mpg. still have both the trucks but will be getting the 96 ready to sell in the summer.
have a chance to get a cummins but feel like i am just getting old and tired with the shift i am working. get tired just thinking about a swap.
