Does anyone have any old injectors they want to toss my way? I have a set of rebuilts in there now that I got from dieselpro from the place. He told me of a place to get bosche marine tips. While cleaning up my old casings I didn't realize that I needed to keep the springs and shims from each injector separate. So now they are not balanced. I figured a lot of you guy's have your old one laying around. I'll cover the shipping obviously.

Thanks!

Thanks Packratt! I forgot about that. When I first saw you replied I laughed and thought why wouldn't a packratt save his shot injectors. :D

Rodd, you can find the right combination with the existing springs and shimms, takes a bit of juggling, and you need some extra shimms with diff thickness
You will have to use a poptester in any case if you want to do the job right, even new injectors are often way out of spec

I agree with bison. We often juggle the springs and shims alot with other parts from other sets to make sure the pop pressures are all very even. Back on the other site I remember one of the guys making his own tester out of a hydraulic jack for very few dollars. I would never put injectors together without checking them on a tester.

I have access to a pop tester. That is where I realized that if had kept things separate they would have been close.

What I found that worked well was the pump for an auto body porta power. It has the threaded end all ready for you. Leo

Used to be a Bosh cloned pop tester on ebay made in India, I got one IIRC $149 is what I paid for it, works as advertised.

Could I talk you into checking Ebay again and letting me know if there is anything worth buying. There werwe a couple of injector testers on there but I'm not sure what I should be looking for.

I searched injector tester on Ebay
