Oil cooler lines: recomendations

OK, l looked at both kits, and like both. no drilling! Direct Fit!

Now the question is, where are all the components made?

And, how do the coolers in each kit compare sizewize to the OEM cooler?

The kit we have is a direct replacement for the OEM. Cooler is made in Canada with the same number of plates and lines in the US. Comes with all fittings so know matter what block you have you will have the correct fittings. Our experience in 6.5 coolers is unsurpassed with well over 700 kits sold and we supply shops and some dealers with these kits. Matt at Peninsular, and Bill at Heath Diesel also buy them from us. We have been in business and on diesel forums for many years.

Do you sale just the lines? How often does the cooler fail? From what I have seen it is always the lines that leak and fail.

You are correct, but the reason for the cooler is fittings. The OEM fittings are no longer available and using adapters is expensive and messing. Replacing the cooler so we can use standard flare fittings is the way to go. If lines ever do fail and you have your kit then yes you could buy lines only.

I can't really add anything to what greg said. My cooler is made by Long and is the same exact cooler you would get if buying a B&M cooler.
Lines are stainless steel braided and teflon lined. I guess it comes down to the price of the kit.

so where are the lines made?

I have mine custom made in a industrial hose shop. One extra step I do is to wrap the hoses in a plastic spiral wrap to keep the hoses from rubbing/scratching other areas. All for $199. + ship

You won't go wrong with these kits from our Vendors. Good quality stuff, made right here, good price, and great before/after-sale service.

Why would you put up with leaking cooler lines when it's this easy to solve?
