oil change indicators on newer cars?

I'm going back to ROTELLA once I use up the MOBIL 1 I got. I run the 5W40 synthetic, and the ROTELLA held better hot idle oil pressure, and seemed to start better when cold. And I didn't have the typewriter tick with the ROTELLA T6, but it sure ticks with the MOBIL 1.

If I was going to synthetic I would have gone with the Rotella T6

I liked the T6, but the MOBIL 1 syn was $12 a gallon(couldn't pass that up). Bought 5 gallons which was all the store had, so I still have enough oil for another change on the shelf. And I'm only putting about 7K miles on a year now, so I don't change my oil very often.

I use mobile delvac 5/40. Used mobile 1 last change and I did have an increase in noise the last 10k.
