NOTICE: Amsoil discontinues Eaa111 NanoFiber filter!!

The Donaldson is not the same as the NanoFiber filters.

The AFE is nice, good quality and fast shipping from warehouse. The ends are poly, they are more flexible/softer and likely make a better seal and will last longer than rubber. I like that it does not have the external metal framing or the mesh frame of cotton filters. And dry element is great, vacuum clean or use synthetic element cleaning spray and let it dry out, like with the cotton filters, but no oiling. I am not using it, actually sent it to out in a K47 box to SuburbanK2500, because he still had the flat panel air box with his intercooler setup, and no source. With the ATT, new high capacity intercooler and high performance tuning, the filter will definately get a work out in his sub.

AEM can be had for quite a bit less, and was made with K&N which usually turns me off, as I am not a K&N fan. Although the AEM is a synthetic and not a typical cotton K&N type filter. It has rubber ends and by all accounts they seem to be decent dryflow filters.

Hi Buddy

The upgrade has started :)

Right now i am digging in to the rocker arms, some years ago when i replaced the headgaskets i thought they was sloppy. so i am in the process of replacing them as we speak. The new ones has some play, but a lot less compared to the old ones.

Got me a perfect elbow for the AFE filter, fits just perfect inside the filter, and hold itself inplace in the K-47 box
Specs on the elbow: OD 90mm in the thin end - OD 113mm in the thick end - 110mm in the end where the rubber gasket is, this connects to the old hose from the flat panel setup. Everything fits together perfect.

Leroy: The filter looks very nice. :)

I need one, mine is too lose.

All the parts is from a plumber.

Do you mean the rubber gasket in the 2 last pictures, or the part connected to the filter.
On the filter side the pipe has this look. you can insert a pipe into it. (Male\female bend)

You were right I ordered 2 of them. I'll use them until I can Find a better one.

My air box came without a bracket and I see there 45$ at the dealer from a 2000 c3500
Does the bracket match up to existing mounting location?

The K-47 box bracket fits in the plugged hole on the picture, this was not used with the flat panel setup
