That's very nice.I cant quite afford all this stuff yet but will hack away at it little by little.Got the Shackles they work great-pulled my 5er(13k pounds) a few hundred miles and through some pretty rough off road places and no problems. And I hit some terrible wash board roads and the shackles held up great-made the rear track a lot better.
So for those who are asking about towing with these on -the answer is they work great.
No mods on truck with full load 13k- 5er ,8.7mpg.Came home empty without 5er (left in storage) got 16mpg going 75 mph the whole way, 250 miles.
I finally had a night to post up some new pic's of my truck of what we ended up doing to it for the 2008 SEMA Show in Las Vegas this last November. I had posted on a few forums looking for idea's and it was pretty much a land slide that the way to go from what members what'd to see was the route we ended up going, Cognito 4" NON torsion bar drop style lift kit and BLACK wheels on 35's. We also had a big twist (in my idea's) when Chris & Moe @ ORU presented me with the idea of running there Defender roof rack. You guys have to know this is pretty much the smallest lifted truck I have owned and my personal builds don't really flow in the scheme of a "Roof Rack". So I put it out there and alot of people from what I felt really liked the idea. So with what I see changing (Style's) over the time I wanted something new so I took them up on the offer and the Rack, Black wheels and the whole tow/off road truck look started coming together. At the VERY LAST minute I send emails out for lights and reachieved a email back from Chris @ Baja Designs (SolTek). These guys make some SICK LED lights and the new product off road is LED lighting so I had to have them. Chris red labeled lights out to us and we installed them on the Defender rack.......MAN that just set the rack off for me and I loved it!
I want to thank a few people that really helped out on this build:
