Hi girls:hihi:
New to this forum, from Norway. (I'll fill in my sig in a while.) Been around in the "other" forum for a while and been into 6,2L and 6,5L diesels since 1990. Still have a lot to learn. For a while I'd four rigs, a 1989 K3500,a 1997 Tahoe, a 1997 K2500 and a 1995 Suburban. K3500 and the Tahoe sold, the Suburban is now the daily driver and the 1997 K2500 have been in the garage all this winter. Resprayed, lift pump mod,(Walbro from Greg,) Bilsteins, cold air intake from AFE, oil cooler and lines from Leroy, 4" from Warpspeed, gauges, Weld rims and BF Mud Terrains (305's). Almost done, not on the road yet. Still have to have an ECM tune and a TM.
Planned to have a Heath HP tune, until I read about KOJO, now I'm not sure? I've had two Heath chips, currently the 95 Suburban has a GL4 Tow tune, a great improvement over the stock one.
The K2500 is going to be my "fun" truck, maxed out when it comes to hp. And yes, I know the 97 has a poor lower end if it's a late one, since I'm going to kill it anyway I haven't bothered to check the casting #. I'm going to max it out to find out how much this engine can take. (And I'm half way done in an engine build,599 block, SCAT, shaved Mahle pistons, DSG gear drive, Fluiddamper, stud girdle, basically the lower end is done). Time will show the final result when it comes to turbo, heads, rocker arms and so on.
Any opinions on the KOJO tune versus Heath is appreciated.
Thanks so far.
