It's recommended to not change the inner filter unless doing trans mods or a rebuild. If you just want to do a drain and refill with new spin on it'll take around 7-7.5 qts of Dex VI. Full fluid change is more involved.

I wasn't aware of that. This truck had the infamous tranny line leak ( they covered it under warranty) so I was planning the fluid and filter change just because of the leak. I would say the chances of it being contaminated are next to zero though so I doubt that filter has anything in it that wouldn't be there anyhow. I also like the fact it has the external spin on. I'm just slightly anal about my rides. They're more than just transportation to me. :D

running my buddies vette at the track. Tree'd him pretty bad. I cut a .501 light on him. This was before my line lock and putting the car in speed density which got me another 3/10's.

I'm from Lancaster which is just southeast of Columbus. I get up to the Canton area several times a year to a buddy's house and party with those guys. He lives in Louisville actually.
