new to diesels and this page

I would consider, since you are obviously very mechanical, to either find out for sure if they have been changed, or just go ahead and do a head gasket change. 200K is a bunch and that is the weak spot.

If I'd have changed my gaskets, I would have saved $800 for new heads.
