I figured I would introduce myself however I am going to sit back and relax and lurk for a while without posting because there’s a lot I need to learn. At some point I’m hoping to purchase a P 400 block for the H1 Hummer and I am considering an aftermarket turbo charger for the 6.2 liter military vehicle. Both are OEM slantbacks.

1995 H1 has db2, Whipple at 9PSI, water/methanol injection, and of course EGT sensors. 1987 M1025 has 6.2 n/a with db2, v belt pulley system, rebuilt 700R4.6E01F68A-F7E4-40FF-B5BD-3495932F474A.jpeg3ADB24FB-EB9A-4EBF-96FC-BC3059834A90.png

I called Whipple to get the manuals. At the same time I asked if they ever made an intercooler that mates up to this model. I was told that no intercooler was ever made by Whipple for this application.

To intercool, I would need to fabricate an intercooler from scratch or steal one from another application and cluge it together to creat a Frankenstein monster.

I’m hoping water/methanol injection will keep things under control.

Welcome to the forum.
I do not know if it would work with Your application, @Twisted Steel Performance makes an inter cooler that fits inside of its own intake manifold.

Thanks MrMarty:

Their website/URL is down.

The orifice of the Whipple manifold is small. This would most likely require a custom job. Not fun and for possibly limited benefit.

I’m going to rely on water/methanol injection for now.
