Hi all
My name is justin I am a welder fabricator.
My rig is a 97 k1500
She's got some mods and is my daily driver. I hope to learn
A lot. I don't do much towing but am planning a trip in August to pa with my 6000#
Camping trailer and am looking at doing some upgrades to make it there and back.
So it's nice to meet every one and Ty for the help in advance

Ty guys, got the sig worked out thanks to my best friend the search function. Next steps I would like to take are
The feed the beast mod and a turbo upgrade and later a tune
Having trouble with a tune how ever cause mine being an s-vin if I
Reflash the ECM I don't know how that's going to work having to plug
My truck in to the DMV for inspection and with a upgrated turbo I
Don't see one that works off the stock vac system so I'm not sure what to
Do there. Sorry for the long windedness
 
Welcome to TTS Justin. There's a bunch of real knowledge here. Like most, I found this site after buying a nice 6.5 truck with problems. (blown engine in my case)

I was this()close to going big or small block but after reading and learning about the 6.2/6.5 that's what I built. 15,000 miles later, ZERO regrets.
 
After putting 4 trannies in my gasser my buddy was looking to get away from this truck so
I traded him strait up for it. Now the little bit of work I've put into it so far
I love this thing but my buddy is really starting to regret the trade.

Welcome to the site Justin, don't worry about the reflash the S stuff can be tweaked for offroad use like you didn't even know it was missing, unless NY has something other than opacity test a better turbo won't hurt you at all, you could go with a TM for now and a boost fooler for improvement over stock until you can afford the funds for turbo & matched reflash for turbo selected.

I got a lot of been there done that with the S/F conversion we can sidebar discuss in PM if you like.
