Hey all im chris and I'm 42 and work at a factory that manufactures medium and high voltage cable for Industrial, mining and the power grid. I got my 95 2500 4X4 Z71 ext cab about 4 months ago off of a local yard sale site on FB for $1500. It has 270000 miles on it and after just finishing up changing injectors a couple weeks ago runs awesome! I have no idea if it is the original motor or not. the egr solenoids are still on the valve cover buy there is no egr valve? gonna start body work and hopefully be ready to paint by early spring. the cab corners are rotten and the clear coat failed but other than that it is solid. I have learned alot about the 6.5 from you guys on this site and think all the bad rap this motor gets is BS. it is very easy to work on, and diagnosis is alot easier with all of your knowledge posted on here! I am on here daily trying to soak it all in and have learned alot! None of my friends are mechanically inclined so its nice to get on here and talk to ppl that know what the hell im talking about lol.

and the egr solenoid you see is actually for the turbo. Yours wont have an egr.
 
actually mine does have the three selonoids on the valve cover the egr valve has been deleted and the upper intake has apparently been swapped out. the lower intake has a date stamp of 1993 so im wondering if the whole motor hasnt been swapped at one time.
