Does anyone have a tool for removing the carbon in the injector holes of a 1990 7.3? A friend I work with has this truck, and he is looking for an easy way to remove the carbon buildup down in the injector holes. Supposedly there is a special tool made for doing this, and I was wondering if anyone on here happened to have one they would be willing to let us borrow?

Thanks in advance,
Rich.

A fitting drill bit will get most of it me thinks
Scrape the corners out with a narrow wood chisel or something like that.

bTW,WTF you're doing working on a 7.3 contraption anyway? you like to learn new cuss words or something? ;)

I figured I already knew every swear-word in the english language working on my 6.5(s). I'm hoping to not do any actual wrenching on the 7.3, -I have enough of my own stuff to wrench on. I am smack-dab in the middle of a bathroom remodel to boot.

Maybe I should tell him to use a shop-rag on the end of a dowel or something....:hihi:

Seriously though, -a big bore gun brush with some WD or sea foam oughtta do the trick, -and maybe a drill that's the right size.

Thanks for the advice (you too Ferm).

Rich.
