Need Opinions: adequate LP PSI, 95 C2500HD

Leroy I have 2 kennedy setups and they work great but would be willing to give yours a try on my 94 burb. The only thing I dont like is the ground on the frame. One big reason is I live in the land of salt and rust. When I do wiring I run the grounds to the battery or engine where they are better protected. I have found in my environment it saves time and money in the long run. Instead of trying to chase grounding issues later down the road.
Cool, I'd like to see a side by side comparison of the two harnesses. I still haven't installed mine yet.

Leroy, can you give me some basic instructions on how to install the harness? I'm an ultra newb and could use some guidance. Thanks!

Havent forgot about your generous offer leroy, just kinda laying low waiting for a check to make it to Discover, and a few checks to make it to the bank. :)

Where in the engine bay would you recommend grounding? direct to the battery, or to the engine where the drivers battery grounds?

the hot feed comes from the underhood electrical center, correct?

where is a good spot to mount the relay?

Thank you!
Right now Im thinking the stud that neg bat cable is on. I'll take a look and see if there might be a better place.
Power comes from terminal A or B studs under fuse box on 95 & ^ 94 & V go's to firewall junction block on pass side.
Mount the relay to one of the holes in the frame near the LP or use the old LP mounting holes.

I'll make another one with longer ground wire same a GM Guy for you also. Remind me when you purchase.

Sorry did not see this went to another page.
Real simple and quick should take 15 minutes.

2. Run harness down to LP area.
3. Unplug LP and plug in mating connectors from relay harness.
4. Mount relay to frame near LP.
5. Attach ground wire to frame using original bolt holding old LP to frame. Be sure to remove the old plastic LP holder and mount ground dirrectly to frame.

EDIT: Make this the last step.
1. 95 & ^ hook red power wire to terminal A under fuse box (under hood box). 94 & down hooks to one of the studs on the pass side wirewall junction block.

Alright, thanks! I should be able to install it tomorrow.

Leroy,

I hate to be a bother, but I have concerns about road salt as well. would it be possible to get the relay up in the engine compartment as well, away from the road salt? I was thinking under one of the screws that hold the baro sensor on the firewall.
(Diesel Nut, were you thinking similar? road salt is a mean ol bitch. :( )

Did you figure the intake stud that the LH battery grounds to is the best location for the harness ground? If so, I agree, I think that would be the best ground location.

also, I am willing to pay a little extra for the relay relocation due to my pain in the ass-ness. ;)

Thanks again!

PS, I have the credit card paid off, so we are good to go for another round. I will still be getting a relocation kit minus PMD from you as well for the other truck.

I can put it wherever you like. Only cost is extra wire and loom. Email me when your ready and I'll fire you back an invoice.
