Need a new grease gun tip. Are there any better than others?

I think the "Lincoln" brand is probably the best out there. The cheap brands are basically disposable as far as I am concerned. You get what you pay for.

Moved to the Shop/Garage section. This is a better place for maintenance tools.

Just don't get the one from NAPA that is a Flexible Extension Tube.

I got it, and it's a Pain In the Ass to get Unlocked from the Zerk.

I purchased one at my local Advance Auto Parts store that you slide onto the zerk fittings instead of pushing it on, it works good in tight spots. The parts numbers are Texton #418 Right Angle Grease Gun Tip or Lincoln #5883 Slotted Tip.

If you do decide to get this tip make sure you wipe off the dirt and old grease on the Zerk fitting before you slide it on because if you don't it will not let the tip seal to the zerk fitting.

lincoln is still pretty good, but AFAIK, most of there stuff is imported. granted it rode on the back of the pickup down dirt roads, but my boss could only get a year out of his brand new lincoln pistol grips.

we just buy a box full at an auction, and mix and match till we have a good one. good USA built Lincoln for a fraction of the price, and we store ours inside, so we havent ever wore any out.

lincoln also makes high pressure ones, and we need them, as we have a high PSI Lincoln (old lever action, special one for sure) and it will split regular tips.

I have a Lincoln tip on mine, It is 6 yrs old and counting. I split 2 hoses this year and ran the gun itself over, screwed a tube off of an old lincoln on and its still going strong. I use an old lever action lincoln that take 2 hands so the tip being good it important and mine hasnt given me problems yet.

I have a mount for my gun on my headache rack and thats where it lives and gets used 3-4 times a week on average.

Where is the best place to buy the replacement tips?

I went through 3 Lincoln air powered guns inside of a year, gave up and ordered one from Harbor Freight and it's lasted 10 years or so.

My hand pumpers are whatever the top line is from Farm & Fleet or Big R
