My Shop

I hear that. Lately I find myself saying, "How the heck did I get THAT up on that shelf?? I don't think I could do that now!".
Not very many years ago, packed in and shoved one of those old fashioned 100 pound TVs on a shelf, about 8’ off the floor of the garage.
I now would like that TV down from there but I am not even sure that I could tip it to get it to drop to the floor.
Might have to make a fire cracker or two and get it offa there in pieces. 🤷😹

Got the metal roofing done awhile back and forgot to get pictures. Covered in snow now. First picture is of the 2 layers of material I used. Bird screen and then hardware cloth. The hardware cloth is to keep the squirrels out.
Then the cardboard baffles are to keep the insulation from blocking airflow. Also got my man door installed.

Yes spray foam is very expensive. Only trying to achieve a thermal break so the wood doesn't conduct the cold.
I would like to build a dwelling, using 2X8 top and bottom plate, 2X4 studs to the inside and outside with a 1/2” gap between them.
I’m not much for spray foamy insulation so paper backed fiberglass outside, maybe 1/2” foam board between the studs then fiberglass inside.
Be expensive but I think it would be insulated very well.
