this is my 28 essex with a 307 olds wide block with 4 speed od auto. on a 62 impala x frame shorted to just under 110 inch wheel base. 7 inch chop old chev box shortened by half lenght rear rad, swather canvass roof custom stock green tint windsheild. thats her:sad: i sold it to pay off truck and to start another one(next post):mad2: i regret it every day i was 16 when i started this and i did everything on my own and only had guidence from books. i am proud to say every bolt was turned by me and every weld was layed down by me it took me nine months to the day to finish it pretty good considering i was a full time high school student and worked 5 hours a day after class and thru winter i worked in a non heated garage haha

sorry i guess i lied i have no picture of the 27 it was a roaster pick up with a 440 dodge on a home bulid frame with a triangulated 4 link a totally one off front full eliptucal front end using a front axel off a 58 chev half ton. was gonna run a dually rear end witha hitch had a 1 1/4 inch wrench as the pit man arm. i sold this car too i used the coin from it to pay my first year university. not regreting this one as much as the first but still a little but. oh there is pictures in my garage on the old site.):h

Looks original to me, nice job. I like the look of the front with no radiator, never seen that before. Makes the car look incomplete and this must draw some attention.

At least he didn't say "member".

Seriously though that thing looks really fun to drive. I, too, like the no radiator approach to the front.

thanks guys yeah the only reason i went with an olds motor is so the front frame rails would be filled and since i could not find a nice red shell i came up with this idea that i absolutly loved. i had old timers come up to me and ask how i ran an air cooled v8. but the thing never got over 180 degrees. and at night them two low lights made it pretty mean looking
