my custom intake

I would be careful with any kind of fender vent unless you are never going to drive in the rain

A baffle plate or a high density open cell foam block should solve that, along with a couple of drain holes in the bottom of the filter canister. Other wise, it becomes home made WI! :)

... too many projects that turn into other things.

Ain't that the truth! I have considered a through the fender intake, after all, Ferd uses it with the Powerjokes successfully. I had considered making a form and laying fiberglass to make a ram scoop to run along the fender contour to pull air in from along side and just behind the side marker light/reflector assy. I also on E-bay a few years ago saw a Suburban for sale in Cali that had a modified Landcruiser fording snorkel running up from the passenger fender along the windshield pillar to just above the top of the windshield. Looked mean, probably had a good ram-air effect and would catch a lot of road bugs and the occasional bird, too!

Hi Jester, So you said you get less oil now with this set up? Is it because the elbows flow better than stock hence lower vacuum? I re-read you earlier post, is the grommet you mentioned also the PCV Valve you mentioned part "#pcv gromit is 42323" and is on the "HELP" shelf at NAPA? I'm hoping to one stop shop and build this next week.
