i built a desktop unit for the shop, dual core Pentium,6 gig ram,2.45 chip,1 gig video card,TB hhd,cd/dvd 25'' i-inc monitor, running xp[but going to change over to win7],,heres the problem at night i turn off the computer[it gets left on 1 night a week to get updates]but i leave the monitor on,since last monday morning, the monitor won't come back to life unless i shut it off and turn it back on,i can hear the windows beeps/music and the hard drive spins up and xp is starting up ok,,any thoughts?[monitor going out or video card ?]or should i just start turning off the monitor

It's either monitor settings or monitor firmware - we had a batch that did that and had to update them all. They wouldn't come back out of Power-Saver mode after the PC slept.

Try resetting all the monitor settings - there should be a hard reset in the menu.
