Some suggestions on maintenance so you can continue having an enjoyable ownership experience and can depend on her to take you anywhere:

If you are OBD-I, I highly suggest getting a Relay kit for the lift pump. You will need to ask him yourself, but I imagine Leroy would be able to make one that would work with the P chassis.

Also, how is the startup, and does it ever smoke? Injectors and glow plugs dont last forever, and if the injectors are neglected damage can occur.

On hard working 6.5Ls, I feel alot better with a Fluidampr on the crankshaft too.

Hope the motorhome treats you well. Keep the road salt washed off! :)

I can't help you with your problem, sorry. But, those motor homes used to be made about 35 miles south of here. They are no longer in business. I'm not sure if they were bought out, or if they just closed shop (used to be several motor home manufacturers not far from them). Anyway, some other company is in their old location.

Safari is now part of the REV RV Group :http://revrvgroup.com/ It is kinda confusing, because there is also a Trek Company, and its still a live brand of REV, but Safari, who made the Safari Trek, is now dead. I imagine they might still support parts though.

Here is a Peninsular article: http://www.peninsulardiesel.com/WP-PENTEST/?p=1206 apparently they dont mind RV repairs.

I looked at a Rev RV today. This one was based on a Dodge ProMaster van. Its front wheel drive.
