So I have a mirror with compass/temp that I'm replacing the standard compass only mirror with. The electrical plugs are the same between the two. So can I use the harness that's in the truck or do I need to swap the harness too? If I can use the original harness where does it go to so I can find it to tap into it with the sensor? Also where's the best place to mount the sensor to be the least affected by engine heat?

Not real fond of that location as the radiator greatly affects temps when notmoving. I just double checked and my stock harness where it plugs into the mirror has wires in all the ppins, so I would think I should be able tap into the factory harness somewhere

I put it in the nostril. I've been around too many that read warm when sitting.

It will still read warm there while sitting. That's where I put it on my old rig. Zip tied to the PMD wire. Not much you can do, I guess in my current ram its in the Mirror arm.

I had to run new wires from the plug behind the steering column to the front of the truck. Just the 2 sensor wires
