Mileage... does this sound normal?

Ok on Friday 391 mile's later hauling 9285#(stopped on scale)at 62 miles an hour. I still averaged 9 miles a gollan. That's with a slight head wind going out and a fairly heavy tailwind coming home. Well i ordered the new ecm and new injectors and TM from heath diesel just about a month ago so hopefully it get's here this week and i can see if that really helps. I don't haul again for about a month so we will see. Thanks everyone who commented on this thread i sure am learning alot on this site. :thumbsup:

That's crappy mileage. Are you sure the conversion is correct? I see you're in Canada, so I assume you're converting this. 9 just plain sucks at no more weight than that

Yep i'm sure i'm using a coversion calculator that i used when i drove truck. And it sure does suck. I ordered my new injectors ,ecm and TM from heath on the 18th of febuary so i hope they show up soon and we will see if that helps.

I won't drive over 62 mph because of the drop in mileage @ the higher rpm's.
(10,200lbs empty, 4.63 gears ,2wd, and a barndoor size bulkhead).

My best is a city/hwy average of 15 mpg (55 to 60 mph hwy)

I get 15 highway w winter blend diesel @ 9800lbs.

I get 14.8 around town, havent taken her on any trips yet, too much stuff could go wrong.... When i get the new engine in ill take her on trips. I have 3.42 gears in the rear, 4L80 tranny.
