mileage after mods

Jack it up and if it isn't spinning freely, somethings wrong (duh).

Grab your e-brake cables and yank them sideways to see if that releases a stuck E-Brake.

Pop the cover off the star adjustment and adjust it backwards see if that helps.

If the drum needs to come off, ask someone else. I've refused to learn drum brakes all my life, and i'm not going to start learning now. I'd rather install 4w disc than learn how to do shoes/drum crap.

Check for wetness, possible wheel cylinder. Easy to change. Wetness can cause instant lockup in dirt, as can stuck e-brake cable. Not sure if wetness can cause drag, but I'd think so.

New exhaust and I'm up 1.5mpg to a steady 16mpg on 3:73s.
I had very similar Rear brake lock up issues on gravel and when slight wetness/winter conditions. Got it solved with a rebuild by Midas. Seals were an issue and the Meineke job left everyone behind me covered in brake smoke....

Both axle seals have already been replaced, and a total brake job was done last summer. Its been locking up like that eer since they did the brake job, just never had time to take it back...

Well I took a road trip today drove a little over 500 miles. Got the best mileage I ever have on #1. Got 17 mpg. Wasn't just a flat road either got into some 7% grades. Probably had about 250 miles of pretty easy driving and about 150 miles of hills, ice, twisty windy 35-45 mph. Picked up a wood cook stove for my house weighs approx 400 lbs. One thing I did notice is that my egts and boost won't go as high as they will on #2. Overall I am pleased. Now just need to get my tranny fixed.

Well you got 1 post in before complete hijacking occured, so I figured I'd save your thread for you!

Any plans to upgrade the turbo AK? Also what additive(s) were/do you use? Which air cleaner do you use?

Also, perhaps either install that intercooler or change your sig!

House has gotten in the way of alot of my plans, I'd love to upgrade my turbo but I have no idea when. Only additive I'm using regularly is nd 30wt. Stock air cleaner and filter hoping to find one for a 97+ cheap. I have the parts for the intercooler it's all a matter of perspective on what soon is:D
