Will LT285/75R16 tires fit a 3/4 ton SRW stock suspension 1993 like ole Patch without major modifications?

I`m thinking that is the tire size on My 2000 K3500.
I had to jack up the torsion bars several inches to keep the tires from rubbing the corners of the back outside fender well. I took it to an alignment shop and one of the problems they listed with the suspension/steering is that the shocks are too short.
I now need to figure out what shocks I`ll need to make up the difference.
I believe it took about three inches of lift so the tires would clear, with two people in the cab and going over a bump whilst turning.

Wheel offset would be a thing to watch. The same tire on a negative offset wheel (deep dish) would rub the tire more than if you were using a more neutral or positive offset wheel, say, a PYO wheel. (early duramax aluminum wheel)

Have stock steel rims I picked up few years ago.

The aftermarket rims I had were dangerous to mount tires on. Discount Tire blew up a new tire in their safety cage on inflation due to bead damage during install. The relief in the rim wasn't enough to safely mount a tire. TG Discount Tire uses safety cages so there were zero injuries.

I ran 285's on stock steel wheels on my 99 K3500 srw , stock height, ranchhand front bumper, rubbed occasionally when turning never was a big deal.
