Got this as a gift from the spousal unit. Easy install. Takes a little longer than this 1 min video (10 min.).

Works as advertised and that’s about all one can ask for. I was concerned watching another video that the cable might get in the way but, it doesn’t. At least, not on mine. Looks good and now you don’t have to fight gravity when you open the gate.

I have wondered about this... how is the lifting part? does it make the tailgate lighter to close? also on our older rigs they need to be pushed hard to latch (slammed) would this pose any issues with that part?

The video didn't show the part about slathering silicone on that new bare steel hole to prevent rust monsters
