Low voltage??

The IAT code almost always shows up with the low rail pressure on for me. And you are so right Nick. I was a little short of PService last winter when we hit -30*. Took 2 new filters to finally clear it.
 
you need efi and can use the factory piece and just remove the heating element from the center when you see how restrictive it acutally is you will be amazed. i was actually kinda pissed that gm put it there in the first place....
 
Thanks for the replies........ill load test the batteries today and check all the conections. I really cant see them going bad already but theres always the possability. I dont drive the truck much.

As for the grid heaters.....i could see removing it if you lived in a warmer climate, but IMO, these trucks need all the help they can get to warm up in cold weather.
 
my truck starts just fine in ct winters at 0ish *F with one battery and no grid heater.

only reason i put the second one back in was so it looked semi-stock again for dealer visits and so i would have no trouble with my hot-start jumpstart setup.
