well my dog dixie kills mice like theres no tomorrow but anyways the mice made a nest under the turbo , my brother informed me that the filter had fallen off, my guess is the corn was probably gathered in and or around the filter area and it just got sucked right into the turbo,these engines create quite a bit of vaccum from that turbo(hence why my lly truck sounds like a jet engine because it is straight piped, anyways ill continue teardown today and let you guys know what i find.

IIRC Dixie is pretty good at chewing up wire looms too...

hey guys sorry for the delay,we were having techincal difficulties with the computers here , well i removed the engine harness from the left side , all fuel and coolant lines, egr, egr v-manifold in the middle of the engine. unbolted the compression side of the turbo and removed it found no broken or bent vanes, but lots of corn cleaned everything up re-installled the compression housing and the turbo can be turned by hand now and it spins good(no binding or scraping) so it looks like it was just siezed up with all the crap that was in there, waiting on some gaskets to come in so i can re-assemble everything and i also ordered a egr blocker plate so ill keep this post up to date and im crossing my fingers that the turbo has more years in it, after its all done its getting and efi live milege tune and going to delete the egr, ill let you guys know how it goes,

well guys first i want to apologize for the delay of the responses, ive been busy , lots of overtime , well the truck is running now it runs good, no returning codes, got the efi live with egr delete tune done and have no returning codes, the only thing is there is a small fuel leak on one of the hard lines so ill get that taken care of and it should be good to go, then i can start on the leaking trans cooler line and the ball joints (yay).
