Looking to Upgrade to a Toy Hauler, recomendations?

i tell you what, if I had the $$$ to blow, A new KZ Inferno would be in my driveway.

Ab-so-lutely, no-shit, hands down the neatest toy hauler I have ever seen. the one I saw had a keg-er-rator in the back and everything!

Tim
That is one SWEET toyhauler.

But I'm afraid that with a 19,000 lbs GVWR and 2,700+ lbs pin weight one will likely need a Medium Duty truck to haul around it. I bet the price is way up there too.

We have a KZ 40k, 18k loaded, looking at trading for a new unit in spring, and the Inferno is on our short list. My thing is I need the 14' garage for the toys and alot of counter space for the boss.....We have about 40k miles on the 04, fuel $$ hurt but I didn't buy it to sit in the driveway. This is a photo from 05, in 06 I had KZ update it to fiberglass, Much cleaner look.

I couldn't agree more that K-Z produces high quality campers and their Inferno is one of the finest/most innovative toyhaulers that I have ever seen ... that said for a half ton towable to haul the bikes mentioned in the original post, take a look at the Inferno's little brother, K-Z's MXT ... link below is to their web site:

their MXT20 is a nice unit in which both the front and rear beds along with the dinette all fold up to provide almost 20' of space for bikes and such .... its unloaded weight of around 4,500 pounds makes it highly attractive as a half ton towable unit ... it is well made and is backed by K-Z's two year bumper to bumper warranty

We have a 07 kz sportsman sportster 33p and we wish that we got the next size up and we don't even have kids so always try to go bigger than what you think you want.

RayMich, I have a KZ Sportsman SE3 toy hauler triple axle. The hitchweight is 2607# and weighs approx, 12000# mt. I used to tow it with my 06 Dodge QC dually, now use my new 08 3500 Dodge SRW with no issues. When I hooked to the DRW it dropped suspension 3", exactly the same on SRW truck. The trailer has a 12' garage, and when toys are loaded it pulls some weight off hitch. I believe the gross weight allowed in the box of the DRW Dodge is about 5000# with the SRW weight about 500# less and that translates to pin weight with a 5er, so IMO u really don't need a medium duty truck for this type of towing. I have seen way higher weights being pulled by the guys doing hot shotting and equipment hauling with DRW pick-ups. Just my thoughts:thumbsup:

I bought a 4 horse (slanted) trailer with LQ (24' including over neck). That way I use it for camping/riding horse, hunting/hauling ATV's, or camping/hauling ATV's or dirtbikes.

i have been thinking about this for a while...

gut the stals and use it as a garage...
