looking into purchasing a 2002 duramax. what should I look out for?

I liked the LIBERTY for a daily driver, but every diesel I found had a sunroof, and the sunroof made the headliner come down and hit me in my headI have short logs with a tall torso). The other drawback is I worked for JEEP, and to me a JEEP had a SFA under the front end, and I wasn't to sold on the LIBERTYs towing ability from the little I had seen of them. Keep the trans serviced as the diesel pushes the 545RFE to it's limit for torque handling.

For the trip home I set the cruise control between 85-90 mph. With the bike on the back it got 19.47 mpg and I was not nice to it. The little thing amazed me at how torquey (that is a word) it was and how well it pulled up hill. It never roared or moaned about anything I did. Just smooth and quite. I guess I will have to go over to the All OTHER DIESEL forum
