Looking for some understanding on Vac wastegate...

I am running a custom chip with the vacuum operated boost control on my OBD1 and it runs great. Mine was an S factory motor with the EGR solenoids. I swapped the S EGR intakes for the F upper & lower manifolds. Next is gonna be a new 4" Diamond Eye exhaust & gauges. It runs great & avg mpg is 19, not bad for something that ways in at 5K pounds. Yes I did have to replace the vac pump & solenoid but it was worth it IMO.

My vac pump isn't going anywhere, at least not in the short term.

I also like the thought of the PCm being able to command the boost level.

I'd like it even more if I was able to tune the PCM.....:mad2:
