Ok I just got the HX 35 installed on the Tahoe and I need to upgrade the exhaust but I have been unable to find anyone who makes one for the 2 door Tahoe. Called Diamond Eye and they dont make one. Any of you Tahoe guys have any suggestions?

heath diesel and kennedy diesel sell a kit, and ssdiesel also sells a kit but it is side dump kit in front of the rr tire. I had a local exhaust shop do a dual 3'' out the rear on my yukon and it only cost $400

The way I understand it is that the ready made exhaust for all model are the same (trucks, suburban, tahoe).

There is a piece that is cut to length depending on the actual vehicle model.
I suspect that for a Tahoe, you just have to cut it longer e.g. shorten that piece.
So overall, it is shorter and all the bends will be in the right places.

I like to think that the Tahoe is just a shorter Suburban.

I'm pretty sure there are 2 different diamond eye kits, one for the truck and one for the suburban.

I would think the suburban kit would work fine for a Tahoe just need to use less straight pipe in the middle.
It will have the two piece tail pipe the down pipe the pipe right after that and more then enough straight pipe to connect it all together in the middle. Maybe the muffler is long enough to join the gap between tail pipe and intermediate pipe?

i have the diamondeye on my 2 door yukon. i bougt it from warpspeed it comes with an 18 inch muffler cause the 24 wont fit

Is your tailpipe from warpspeed a two piece? I called warpspeed and he said that he would have to make a sleeve so that I could cut the tailpipe piece from a suburban kit and rejoin it to change the angle so it would work on the Tahoe.

The Diamond Eye is two pieces from the muffler back. First piece goes over the axle. Second piece connects to part coming down over the axle. It has an elbow below that and another bend that takes it out behind the wheel. It can be rotated some. All your length difference will be taken up in front of the muffler.

Yeah, what big t said. I did have a fitment problem in that pipe that goes over the axle. It was more like it was bent wrong. The pipe was too long between bends over the axle. It made the pipe guy the floor. I cut 2 inches out of it and used the bell end of one of the extra pipes in the kit to splice it together. I have put this kit on several other trucks and never have run into any other problems. I have a kit in the box waiting on the ecm from Bill for a customers k3500.

Here's the easiest and cheapest solution, and what I used on my '94 C2500 C&C. Heartthrob turbo down pipe and front pipe with a 4" 45* el bend turned down slightly (it will clear the space between the front leaf eye and the "notch" in the frame ahead of the leaf eye) and a second 4" 45* el bend to bring it back level and out in front of the rear tire. Depending on shipping method (Speedy or UPS/FedEx) you can get by for ~$230 ordered direct from Heartthrob by the piece, including clamps. Speedy doesn't serve all areas like UPS/FedEx, but they do Lincoln NE, so shipping from Minnesota to my house was like $15!!! If you want a muffler, Summit has a 4" core louvered 18" muffler for about $40 that you can cut and splice onto the front pipe.

Anyone doing this from now on, racedaymechanic sells an adapter to go from the HX40II and 35 to our down pipes. It works order and the craftsmanship is excellent.

Hi.
Not quite sure if it is the exhaust itself or the bend from your HX that's your problem? Anyway, in Norway they sell a Diamond Eye #K4106A to fit the Tahoes. So it's supposed to be out there some place? Other DE ## are K4102A for the pick-ups and K4108A for the Suburbans. Never mounted on a Tahoe so no verifications if it'll fit.
