fuel tank capacity depends on whether you are in canada or in the usa. here in canada we have bigger gallons. that's probably why my dually gets 17mpg. i do recall reading somewhere that my tank is 34 gallons but don't know if it is imp. or not. Ed
I don't know for sure the exact gallons, but everytime I fill up I put 26gal in it. Now I usually fill up below 1/4 tank left according to the gauge so I have always assumed I had a 30gal tank. I would find out for sure but I'm too scared to take the fuel down to the "E".
Yup my 95 ext cab long bed has 34 gallon tank as stated in the OEM manual.
I normally fill mine at 1/2 tank, normal avg milage is around 350 & the avg fill is 18 gal.
PS the pump will kick off sometimes as low as 14 gal from foam pending how fast station pump runs on the low speed, then if I have time & fudge around with it some normally it ends up full at 18 gal.
If you need the manual, it's worth checking the glovebox when at the salvage yards. If you run across one the correct year, etc., they typically don't cost much.
it is 26 for shortbed, 34 for longbed according to each United States issued manual from every one of our 88-98s that have the manual in them, Which all of ours have them except the 2000.
