I am wondering if anyone has used the 6.2 long body fuel injectors on a 6.5 turbo. Do they fit? If so has anyone tired to put marine nozzles in them. Has any testing been done with them. Or is it just a complete waste of time.

Yes I realize they are the same nozzles and are fine thread. My question of do the fit was more about clearance on the passenger's side under the turbo. And I will be the first to admit I am very ignorant about how they work. I have never tried to rebuild injectors so I haven't taken them apart. But in my simple mind bigger is always better. And as far as diesels go our 6.5 injectors are the tiniest things made even the old 6.9/7.3 idi injectors where much longer than ours. I am wondering if there is any gain to be had from rebuilding them and running them

The nozzles are longer for the long body. I experimented with them for a while with mercedes nozzles . You have lots of nozzle options for the long body . Short body just 2 or 3 options.

Did you see any gains when you where experimenting. And I think I remember that thread I will have to dig it up and read through it again.

Short body with marine nozzles set to the highest pop psi that the ip can hot start. Running 3000 psi now ,but have gone as high as 5000 psi.
