Lets Discuss Hats...

I like the Solid 1 Color ones.

Maybe we could also do a Knit Beenie Hat for us up here in the Cold Climates.
 
Well as you guys should be able to w=tell I'm a 2 tone kinda guy, but I like the camo for sure........... and would like tan w/black or gray and black since I know one the color of my truck is out of the question..........would barb wire stitch be stretching it too much.......like the stripe I put on my truck :D

Do you have a company you're going through yet? I have a camo hat that I love and won't throw away even though it should be. It just fits so well. It's made by www.jjjink.com. Just type in "camo" in the search box on that site. I looked for the hat I have on there but couldn't find it.

I personally prefer a lower profile hat with a velcro strap...not sure what you or anyone else prefers. Not trying to be picky, just throwing ideas out there. ):h

But black isn't very practicle for anyone in the a hot humid climate, here a black cap will just soak up to heat and will just be too hot. But any lighter colors would be better for this climate. I have enough black caps in the closet. A black bill wouldn't be as bad, But thats just my opinion. :D

:thumbsup: I'm with you on this......... I have a hard time finding decent looking caps that will be cool enough to wear out in the sun very much.

I will have to take back my earlier statement about the hat you are referring to. That hat looks muck better on the wifes lap top than on my desk top. The DTR would really stand out on the tan. Lets hope we get some more feedback to make this worth you efforts.

I wouldn't ignore you Phil... you're too much fun to ignore...;)
barbed wire... hmmm...too custom ...not something everyone would want...and it would most likely drive the price up...we're thinking "affordable"

a lot is really depending on the design or hat chosen...we need to narrow things down a bit before we dig deep into every suggestion...

You guys feedback/input is not ignored and is greatly appreciated...

we need to keep it simple...otherwise who is going to pay 25 or 30 dollars for a hat?

the idea of keeping it simple worked well in bringing the shirts to a final design and ordering within a week time...with projected shipping in another two...that's pretty good fast tracking if you ask me... I'd like to see as much member participation in this thread as the shirt thread...It just seems theres not much member interest in hats like was earlier suggested...

I just like to know what you think of the ideas too. What other things are you looking for to narrow it down? What price rang are we shooting for here with the hats? $10-15?

I don't wear many caps except for my LSU ones and a couple camo ones...all my LSU ones are tan...I like tan cause it's not a hot color...though a black hat (like the one above )with gray logo would look awesome...don't know if I would ever wear it though...I just really want the members to get as involved with this as they did with the shirts...this is all about the members...

narrowing it down is tough...some members like the low profile(like myself)... some want the profile a bit higher...the tan ones above are a happy medium... so really... color/color combo is the first key to narrowing it down... then profile...then logo color (depends on color choice of hat)

Price range depends on the quality of the hat...a good middle range quality hat that is embroidered will cost around $14.99 +Shipping(and I'm not sure how to package a hat and not deform it...so I don't know what shipping would be) they have to be made in minimum quantities of 12(that's how the machine operates:confused:) which means a decent commitment from the members is required for each color(less selection 1 or 2 means it's easier to get them done with less cash outlay in stocking something in hopes of selling them...it would be different if there were a profit involved ...then the profit would pay for the stock left over until sold... I ordered extra on the shirts inintial order(16) and now I have 10(?) left...I'm not complaining...it was a judgement call on my part...I have no doubt they will sell eventually because of the sites growth...

I'd just like to be a little more cautious on this one since there seems to be less interest in the hats...
